Well, I guess I am not the smartest...

I had to post this before I forget. Its one of those little moments that are milestones; but are sometimes forgotten. (OK. Maybe you don't forget things like this... but I have a bad case of CRS*)

Its after dinner and we (DH, little jewel and myself) are working on kindergarten "homework". Technically, its not homework; but we are trying to keep the routine of doing homework during summer, so its not so much of a shock when the little jewel starts kindergarten in the fall. We are working on math- less or more-to be exact. LJ was having trouble with the concept 'which is more' so I thought I would make it a little more visual. I grabbed a bag of Skittles and put a pile of 3 skittles and a pile of 2 skittles and asked LJ "which is more?"
( I know..I totally think I am a genius..way to go mom...)

LJ stares at the piles and I am thinking he still does not understand. So I say, which pile is more? If you want more Skittles, which pile do you want.

LJ says ... " both together" and puts all of the skittles into one big pile...."thats more."

Ok...well, I guess that shows me, huh?

Maybe schools should have big bags of Skittles in the classrooms; it really seems to enhance learning.



*CRS- cant remember shit
