Happy Aloha Friday!
Join us each week at An Island Life where we ask a simple question and get..... sometimes a simple answer; but always friends and fun. This week I have made a little change; but I promise you still will have fun!

The Dalai Lama said, "...there isn't anyone who doesn't appreciate kindness and compassion" and studies show that doing good deeds reduces stress and improves well-being, so lets spend today improving our well being.
Do one kind thing for a stranger today or this weekend and come back and tell me about it. Lets "Pay It Forward!" I hope to come back to this post and have a giant list of good deeds.
My good deed is I am keeping both my nephews overnight. My brother is taking my sister in law out to the big city for a little mommy and daddy time alone. Everyone needs a break. And since that is kind of easy, I mean I love my nephews, I am doing a couple more things.
I am also heading over to my sons school with this Walmart gift card for his class to use on supplies and such.... its on every public school teachers wist list.
and then we also have our Toys for Tots gifts to deliver. So go on .... spread the love... pay it forward.

I already did! I let someone in front of me in rush hour traffic this morning! Not my usual style by the way!
I am the parent organizing a group gift for my son's teachers. We are giving them all gift cards for the holidays. We also purchased gifts to donate when we go to a Chanukah party. They are donating them to children at the local hospital.
We've "adopted" a few "angels" from our local prison's foster kids angel tree. We're having more fun finding their gifts than we are things for each other!
I'm not in the mood to meet relatives I haven't seen in years but doing it anyway because Mom wants me to.
we heard about a single mom who hasn't received her unemployment check yet (there is a huge backlog in this area) and was going to lose her rental house. we contributed a sizeable amount to help her out. we may also buy her two little girls some Christmas presents.
